Cape Cod 2013 Day 6

Day 6 of my Cape vacation was suppose to be rainy, so we planned to do tourist things. We slept in late thinking we would wake up to dark skies and rain, but instead we woke up to clear skies and sun. It was too late to head to the beach so we decided to go ahead and do the touristy things.

First stop on the tourist tour was the Duck Boat Tour around Hyannis. The Duck Boats are definitely geared towards kids, but us mature adults still had fun. There was a captain (who drove the boat and also looked like the captain of the Titanic) and tour guide who was obviously some college kid here for the summer.  The tour last about 45 mins and half of it is on land and the other half is in the ocean.

Our next stop for the day was the Cape Cod Potato Chip factory. Our main reason for going was that it is free and you get two free bags of chips. The tour was pretty lackluster, it was a quick walk through down a hallway with windows showcasing the factory. None of the machines were on when we went there so our tour was not much of a tour. Nonetheless, we did get our chips and that kinda was the silver lining to this.

After the potato chip factory we went down the road to the Cape Cod Brewery. Now this place was a total improvement from the last place we went to.  I loved that this brewery was very "green" in that they were all about saving the earth and recycling. We tasted about 4 or 5 beers and obviously I liked the lighter beers better. After our quick beer tasting, we bought some more beer and sat in the beer garden. The beer garden was a cute outdoor seating area that had corn hole for us to play. I really liked this place, the employees were nice and very laid back.

A cute sign at the Brewery
So to some up day 6, it was a Yes on the Duck Boats, a No on the potato chip factory and a Yes on the Brewery.
